One-Visit Solution - Discover the Convenience of Same-Day Crowns

A crown, also known as a cap, is utilized to cover and restore a tooth that has suffered damage from decay, fractures, root canal treatment, severe staining, or irregular shaping, offering a natural look and feel while reinstating the tooth’s strength and functionality. With CEREC same-day crowns, there’s no need for traditional impressions; we design, fabricate, and securely attach your crown during a single visit, eliminating the necessity for temporary crowns.

The Advantages of Same-Day Crowns: A Modern Dental Solution

In the past, receiving a dental crown often involved 2 to 3 appointments and the use of uncomfortable temporary crowns. However, with the advent of new techniques and equipment, the process has become more convenient than ever.

Same-day crowns come with the following additional advantages:

  1. No need for messy impressions – We utilize precise and comfortable digital 3D scanning.
  2. Completion of treatment in just one visit.
  3. Reduced need for drilling – We can preserve more of your natural tooth structure.

What to Expect at a Same Day Crown Appointment

Examination & Preparation

In the course of your appointment, a thorough examination of your tooth will be conducted. In cases where decay is present, any affected areas will be meticulously removed and the tooth will be cleansed. If your tooth is susceptible to stress fractures, the installation of a crown will serve to safeguard it against potential fracture-related issues. Following this, your natural tooth will be expertly shaped to ensure a snug and comfortable fit for the crown placement.

Your custom crown is crafted in-house

After preparing your tooth, we employ cutting-edge technology by utilizing a 3D scanner to capture an incredibly precise digital image of your tooth. Gone are the days of traditional impressions and trays. This 3D scan serves as the foundation for crafting a digital model of your custom crown. The magic happens right before your eyes as we fabricate your porcelain crown in-house, ensuring you don’t have to wait

Placement & Polish

Your new crown will be bonded or cemented in place right away. No second appointment or temporary crown is needed. Your dentist will make a few final adjustments and ask how it feels to make sure it’s a perfect fit. After a final polish, your new crown is ready to go!

Factors Influencing the Cost of Dental Crowns in Midlothian

The cost of a dental crown can vary significantly depending on individual circumstances. For those covered by a typical insurance plan, the cost of a single crown usually falls within the range of $200 to $600 or more. Without insurance coverage, a rough estimate for a crown typically ranges from $800 to $1200 and beyond. While many consider getting a dental crown to restore the normal look and feel of their teeth a worthwhile investment, the cost can still be a factor to consider.

Several factors contribute to the determination of the crown’s cost, including:

  1. The type of crown required.
  2. The location and complexity of the procedure.
  3. The number of crowns needed.
  4. Combining crowns with other dental appliances such as bridges.
  5. Specific supplies and equipment essential for your unique treatment.

It’s important to note that no dental practice can provide an accurate cost estimate over the phone, as your needs are as unique as your smile. To receive a precise quote, it is advisable to schedule an appointment with a dentist for an oral examination. Additionally, if you have dental insurance, we are happy to provide you with a quote that you can submit to your insurance provider to determine your out-of-pocket costs before making a decision

You will not regret coming to hangout with this kind & compassionate crew! It’s also a bonus that they also take good care of you & your mouth! I have dental anxiety and they eased my racing mind. My first visit with Laura & Dr Collin Muhler was exceptional! Do they know their stuff? Yes. Will they laugh at your oddly timed jokes? Yes (at least the first time). Will they explain everything including all of your procedures and costs? Yes. Will you leave with a fancy lip balm and a cup for your toddler? Yes. I want to “gate-keep” as the kids say, but this practice deserves all 5 stars and for you to know they live/work up to their professional and personal values.

Absolutely love this practice. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. I’m not a huge fan of going to the dentist, but everyone here made it a much better experience! Dr. Muhler is amazing and takes the time to explain everything in much detail and listens to your concerns without making you feel rushed. I have found my new dental home.

I’ve haven’t been to a dentist in over five year. Last week I went through my insurance to find a new place. My old dentist retired, new dentist doesn’t take my insurance. Boy did I hit the jackpot. When I came in I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. Filled out my paperwork then quickly got called back. Kayla my hygienist was so thorough with my cleaning, explained everything to me, and made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Mahler was so nice. He explained everything to me, made sure if I had any questions they were answered. They didn’t make me feel bad that I haven’t been to the dentist in a while. The office is clean and has a nice homely feel to it. So glad I found this place.
