Great service, great relationships
“I love my hygienist. She is so sweet and very thorough. I only see her every 6 months, but she always remembers personal things about my family.” -Karlin

Don’t let an infection in your mouth go unnoticed
Infections of the mouth can cause expensive damage to the teeth and soft tissues; preventive appointments and home care can reduce your risk. Also, infections like gum disease and tooth decay can contribute to or magnify systemic medical issues like diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.
We know that the healthier your mouth, the healthier your body. At Hawkins Family Dental we care for our patients like we care for our family and want to make sure you live a long and healthy life.
Your hygiene appointment
For some, it has been a few years since they have had a dental checkup. Don’t worry! You are in good hands with the team at Hawkins Family Dentistry.
You will receive the most comprehensive and gentle wellness exam you have likely had at the dentist.
During your appointment, your hygiene team will ask you to share any concerns or changes you may have noticed, such as tooth discoloration, bad breath, sensitivity to hot and cold, or bleeding during brushing or flossing. The team will then go over the things that are relevant to you, including:
- Review of health history (medication use, changes in systemic health etc.)
- Gum disease assessment
- Check of existing restorations
- Home care routine review and education (brushing and flossing)
- Cavity detection
- Address any other concerns you or the doctor may have
Hygiene for the kids too
“This was our first visit and I was so pleased! Coming in with four young children can be intimidating, but the staff made us feel so welcomed. The front desk ladies were so sweet to the kids! They even put on cartoons for them. My daughter had the appointment and I loved that everything was cleared by me before performed and coverage was also checked before procedures performed. My daughter loved the “goodie bag” to include her own dental floss, ring, and Chap Stick.” 🙂 -Addison
